Found La Patrona Steak House in a Google search. We were greeted at the door by the waitress. The menu has many options to choose from. Not your typical tex-mex restaurant. Definitely go try La Patrona Steak House for yourself. Their corn tortillas are hand made and delicious. While we waited for our order, we were treated with a bowl of fresh seasonal fruit. Will definitely be back.

Came to visit Brownsville all the way from San Antonio. My husband and I searched for a restaurant that wasn't so greasy nor make us feel bloated. Fortunately, one of the restaurants that popped up was La Patrona. The restaurant was beautiful and had a wonderful vibe. The nice tables and chairs were comfortable. The colors and decorations gave the relaxing feel. Our server was very polite and helpful as well as very responsive. The food, I'm normally a salmon person, but something told me to get the tacos. I ordered the Sirloin tacos, and my husband ordered the fajita tacos with the cucumber water. They served us a cup of their caldo, which was flavorfuI. Then the tacos came. 4 tacos to a plate. Served with avocado, onion, sautéed onion, cilantro, and salsa. The cilantro and onion served over marrow on the bone. I loved everything all the way around. I wish I took more pictures. This will be my go too spot when I visit Brownsville. I hope they expand to San Antonio someday. Also, don't forget to check out their Corn husk wings! So picture worthy!

This restaurant was empty when we arrived but it was surprisingly good. I liked the food and the service, the restaurant was quiet. Food came out quickly, and it was hot. The molcajete Guadalajara was super hot and delicious. Tortillas are handmade. Frijoles charros were so good, one of the best I have tried.
